ERICKA KELLY-CARRINGTON

Ericka Kelly- Carrington began her dance training at the age of four. As a native of Washington, DC her training was received from RJV School of Dance, Christian Dance Academy, Thomas Pullen Performing Arts School, and Suitland High School to name a few. She was taught in areas of ballet, tap, jazz, modern, African, and hip-hop with jazz becoming her favorite style of dance. After graduating from Suitland High School in 2004, Ms. Kelly studied at University of the Arts to pursue her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. Her concentration was, of course, Jazz. 

Ms. Kelly has a few professional experiences under her belt. Some include dancing alongside Debbie Allen in the highly acclaimed Brothers of the Knight and Dreams. Both shows ran at the Kennedy Center. She was also a dancer for singer/dancer Mya. Some other professional experiences include dancing with Tyce Diorio, Desmond Richardson, and Gil Duldulao. Ericka also danced with The Anointed under the artistic direction of Christina Broadnax. She is currently dancing with The Collectif Project under the artistic direction of Megan Atkinson.

Ericka Kelly has over 7 years of teaching experience. She has conducted numerous master classes and has taught and choreographed for dance groups and studios such as Zion Daughters Dance Ensemble, Inc. and NE Performing Arts School. Ms. Kelly also taught ballet at Paula Brown Performing Arts Center. She currently teaches creative movement at Adagio Dance Studio. Out of all of Ericka’s dance accomplishments and teaching jobs, her most rewarding job has been being a mom and wife.
