ANDREA MONTGOMERY

Andrea Montgomery is a dancer, creative, proud mother of 2 beautiful girls, and native to the DC Metropolitan Area.   Even under stage lights, Andrea has a burst of bright light that illuminates her passion for dance.  Since age 3 with the Anointed Dance Ministry led by Christina Broadnax, it has been like a deep conditioning in the depth of her total being. It was there, in her 10+ years of dedication where the burning passion for ministry, music, and dance was stirred. After the Anointed ended, she continued in Ministry teaching technique, musicality, choreography, and performing for St. Paul Baptist Church, Bethel Deliverance Outreach Ministries, and other churches. Also, traveled and sang with New Creation Band (a gospel go-go band), Uplifted, and with the Shiloh Church of God 7th Day Praise & Worship team & choir at other venues for years. Gained her technical training at the Marcellus Dance Studio, Divine Dance Institute, Dance Place, Arlington Centre for Dance (now Ballet Nova Center for Dance) under Kathryn and Kenneth Fredgren, where she mastered pointe and danced ‘The Nutcracker’. She has had the pleasure of training at The Alvin Ailey School, NY, and Ailey Extension Masterclass, DC. After her studies at Strayer University in Business Administration/Accounting, she continued serving the community by working as an Accounting Technician with ‘Heart to Hand, Inc.’, a 501c3 promoting healthy lifestyles, decreasing health disparities, and increasing access to quality health care. Also served 3 years as a Parent Governance Committee member on the AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School Board in DC. She volunteers as choreographer for Wise High School Dance in Prince George’s County where she too danced with the Company under the direction of Michelle ‘Mimi’ McDonald and PG County Dance Ensemble for 2 years.   Living a free life fueled by passion and led by God’s Grace, dances with ‘The Collectif Project’ founded by Megan Atkinson, and serves as the Executive Director.  In the creative world, she is the founder of ‘Pretty Perfect Graphix’ a creative graphic design business in which you share your vision, and she makes it perfectly plain by designing your website, various types of media communique, and marketing.
